Step 1: Choose a Material for Your Bathroom Countertop

Choosing the right countertop material for your vanity is a big decision with a lot of things to think about. First and foremost, bathroom countertops should be tough enough to withstand daily contact with water, cosmetics, and cleaning products. The bathroom countertop surface you select should be heavily influenced by:

  • Maintenance & Durability: How much time and effort are you willing to devote to your new vanity top’s upkeep?
  • Finish: Which of the following countertop finishes appeals to you the most: polished, honed, or brushed?
  • Stone Type & Color: Because each natural and man-made stone has its own set of properties, what is your favorite aesthetic that fits your lifestyle?
  • Budget: Which stone type, grade, and origin are appropriate for your budget?
  • Existing Stone: Will you require any stones in your bath to be matched in order for it to be cohesive?

In addition to choosing a vanity countertop, homeowners can consider carrying the same stone throughout the bathroom on other flat surfaces to maintain a cohesive design if they are also installing a new shower and/or floor.

Step 2: Create a Bathroom Countertop

We begin the templating and fabrication process after you have chosen your vanity countertop surface. Before you can start templating, your vanity must be installed so that the exact measurements can be calculated.

You will also need to choose the size and shape of your sink(s) so that they can be measured during the templating process. Utah’s Best Granite team will return your sinks to the shop to measure them and ensure the most accurate template.

Smaller plumbing fixtures, such as faucets, will not be required until the day of installation.

Delivery and installation are the third and final steps.

This is an exciting day because you are just a few steps away from installing and using your brand-new bathroom countertop!

Prior to installation day, our team will collaborate with you to ensure that the project area is prepared and ready so that your installation runs as smoothly and quickly as possible.

The Advantages of Granite Countertops

  • Check out the various benefits of having granite countertops.
  • Granite countertops will provide a beautiful, long-lasting, and functional surface.

Durability

If you’re concerned about the wear and tear that your countertops will endure, it’s difficult to find a better surface. These countertops are much more resistant to the wear and tear that other countertops experience during normal use.

Granite is more durable than most other countertop materials, such as Formica or Linoleum. Granite is resistant to scratches and abrasions because it is such a strong material. Cutting on granite will actually harm your knives more than it will harm your countertops!

Heat Tolerance

Another significant advantage granite has over other countertop materials is its resistance to heat. As a result, it is ideal for use near a cooktop or range. When you have granite countertops, you will never have to worry about where to place hot pans.

Granite, unlike other materials, will not be harmed or weakened by heat exposure. This feature may not appear to be a must-have for your kitchen. You’ll be surprised at how much more comfortable and secure your cooking experience will be with granite countertops.
